World Shotokan Federation Official Page
World Shotokan Championship was completed with a large participation in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. An additional 240 teams competed in the competition, in which 3080 athletes from 36 countries participated. The opening ceremony of the competition was attended by the President of the World Shotokan Federation Popescu, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Uzbekistan and officials. Local folklore shows and an official parade were held at the opening ceremony.
