The 1st Asian Shotokan Karate Championships started on 1st of July 2022 in Issik Kul Kyrgzstan by participation of 1700 atletes and 7 Countries in Cholpon Ata Sport Hall. The opening ceremony started by participation of the Minister of Culture and Sport Politics Mr.Azamat Jamankulov.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Azamat Jamankulov wished success to all the athletes participating in the competition. Speaking at the competition, WSF General Secretary Ercument Tasdemir thanked the President of the Kyrgyzstan Shotokan Karate Federation Nurdoolet Rysbekov for the organization and stated that the 2nd Asian Shotokan Karate Championship will be held in Kazakhstan in 2023.
